Validates an item according to its EDI DOM validation attributes. This is internally called to validate an EdiMessage.

Parameters

ediItem
Type: SystemObject
The object to validate.
segmentsCount
Type: SystemInt32
The number of EDI segments that were validated.
syntaxSet (Optional)
Type: EdiFabric.Core.Model.EdiSyntaxSet
The EDI validation syntax set.
decimalPoint (Optional)
Type: SystemChar
The decimal point to use.
startingPosition (Optional)
Type: SystemInt32
The position of the EDI segment.

Return Value

Type: ListSegmentErrorContext
A list of EDI segment error contexts. The list is empty if the item is valid.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Object. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
